The holiday season is approaching and some of our our local school age children and their families face challenges that make it difficult to participate in several of the traditions that most of us are fortunate enough to have the capacity to observe during the holiday season. We have formed a committee called the Nipomo Noel Community Spirit Committee for the purposes of providing a Christmas tree and gifts for four economically challenged families from each of the schools serving the Nipomo area, Lopez High School and Oceano Elementary school
The Nipomo Noel Community Spirit Committee is a local group of Lucia Mar Unified School District Employees, and pastors from local church organizations. Our mission is to help needy our local students and their families, have joy and hope during the holiday season. It is our intention to provide our families with a holiday meal, Christmas trees for the families, gifts for the children, and a night of festivities at Willow Lights.
We need your help in supporting the 1st Annual Nipomo Noel Family Evening scheduled for Thursday, December 5, 2019. This event will be held at Edwards Barn from 5pm to 7pm and at the Willow Lights Display, in Nipomo from 7pm-9pm.
Any funds raised beyond what is needed to hold the event will be used to purchase, clothing, sports equipment, toiletries, school supplies, and other materials needed to support local students to fully access their education and be a part of their community.
