It was about 10 years ago when BStrongLife founder Pastor Ralph Hernandez participated in one of the first church initiated community cleanup projects on the Central Coast “Serve Santa Maria”. He was so moved by the impact it had on the city of Santa Maria that he wanted to do something similar in Nipomo. One of the first Love and Serve Nipomo projects was to bring together dozens of volunteers and many of them students to spruce up and enhance the Nipomo High School campus. Since that time, BStrongLife has been involved in the “lot cleanup” at the corner of Hill and South Frontage Road in Nipomo, and our club always brings students to the annual San Luis Obispo County Creek Cleanup Day. Additionally, BStrongLife club has also worked with parents, educators and program officers at Grizzly Academy to be a mentor for eligible cadets to the program, and participated in food drives for students and families at high school campuses.
